Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. We do not currently offer Care Credit services. You may also pay online using our online PetPortal through www.evetpractice.com

Please bring any medical records that you have for your horse, as well as a list of any medications your horse is currently taking. Please forward any x-rays or ultrasound imaging to loscaballosequine@yahoo.com prior to your horse's appointment.

Please park your rig and leave your horse or horses loaded while you sign-in at the front office.

LCEP is mostly an in-house appointment veterinary clinic. Dr. Muller does travel to provide service to larger training barns. Our technicians are available to perform local farm calls for preventative care services such as vaccines and blood draws.

We have equine dental specialists who work directly with Dr. Muller to perform these services; the horses must be brought into the clinic for sedation.

We do not offer 24/7 emergency services. If you have an emergency during normal business hours, please call the clinic to schedule bringing your horse in. We have an on-call mobile veterinarian listed on our voicemail for after-hours emergency. If you are unable to reach the on-call veterinarian, we recommend bringing your horse to the UC Davis Large Animal Teaching Hospital.

We are by appointment only.  This ensures we can give each horse the appropriate amount of dedicated time for medical care.

We prefer that the horse’s coming in for appointments are not recently shod/trimmed. This gives Dr. Muller more hoof to work with if therapeutic trimming/shoeing changes are needed. Freshly shod horses may also show a change in their lameness exams as they grow accustomed to their new trim/shoes.

It is not a requirement for the owner of the horse to be present for the exam. We do require a call-in before the appointment so we can acquire all required information before the exam. A friend or your trainer can bring the horse in for you.

Yes! Our property has an oval drive-way to avoid backing up large rigs.

We have multiple stalls and paddocks available to house multiple horses. Over-night boarding fees do apply.

Yes, we are. Our clinic dog observes all proceedings and are friendly to visitors.

Yes, it is also handicap approved.
